mice weigh on average between 10 and 20 grams and will eat 15 to 20 times a day, they will consume about 20% of its body weight each day, they can also survive without water getting what they need from there food, Mice can get pregnant within 48 hours of giving birth and have 5 to 8 litters per year with between 4 to 8 being in the litter. Adding up too 6 young every 3 weeks,
Mice infestations can be very serious and soon get out of control a mouse can squeeze through a gap of 6mm, so if mice get in your house they never leave and if you spot 1 mouse there will be a lot more playing hide and seek somewhere .In general though if there is no food for them there will be no mice so good housekeeping is paramount inside and out.
Mice also carry more diseases than you think 35 are known but the main ones are salmonella meningitis ringworm and tapeworms and being incontinent mice urinate everywhere they go. Transmitting these diseases wherever they have been.
The Procedure
Firstly we will carry out an inspection of your Mouse problem to get a good idea of the best solutions available to you and also if it is Mice or Rats which are the cause, It could be a simple case of just proofing. But if not We have other ways of dealing with the infestation including traps and poison. The traps and poison we use are only accessible to trained pest controllers and have to have the relevant documentation.
