According to scientists, two million types of bacteria were carried by flies. That’s a lot! They also spread germs efficiently.
As we know flies carry many germs which can cause serious health problems, such as typhoid, dysentery, tuberculosis, etc. If the disease is not treated it can be very serious and can even cause death. They spread disease through fine sensory bristles on there body and sticky pads on their feet which have been shown to collect and harbour faecal matter. They can also fly long distances from contaminated sources.
Decaying organic matter, faeces and infected contaminated material is the flies preferred diet. They also eat human’s food And then they vomit the germs, enzymes, saliva, and digestive juices on your food and suck it up again into their spongy mouth. When a fly cleans its self on your work surface microscopic particles of all this contaminated matter is deposited on your food and anything near by. Also a fly has taste receptors on its feet so it tastes and contaminates at the same time.
